Under the Weather

On the flight back from Nairobi I came down with what appears to be a rather stubborn stomach bug! I haven't ventured further than the end of the road since getting back from the airport on Tuesday morning. I've been trying to stay hydrated with lots of cups of tea.
I've also been burning lots of lovely autumn fragranced candles and keeping warm with cosy blankets. I generally love this time of year and really try to embrace the Danish concept of Hygge.
One thing that has cheered me up is opening my October Birchbox! It was delivered on the morning of the wedding so I was little distracted - haha! I put it to one side to open when I got back from our honeymoon, and it was just the pick-me-up I've needed. It was filled with some great self-care products that I've put to good use.
And it's a good job I put together that reading list, as it's about all I've been able to do the last few days! I find I can't watch TV when I'm sick, it just overwhelms the senses too much, whereas reading is more calm and relaxing.
