The 'Sunday-ist' Sunday
Updated: Apr 6, 2020
Working shifts means I don't always get to enjoy a normal weekend schedule. So when I do have a Saturday or Sunday free of plans I like to make the most of it!
George's football match was cancelled due to the ground being so frozen, but the sun was shining despite the frost.
We had a late brunch at home of bacon and poached eggs and then pulled on our boots and headed out the door.
We were very fortunate to be gifted English Heritage memberships by my aunt and uncle as a wedding present. We've been waiting for the worst of the winter weather to pass so that we could get out and explore.
Just down the road from us is Kenilworth Castle.
It's such a beautiful building. We searched out every tunnel and staircase, leaving no stone unturned!
We then took a walk into the Warwickshire countryside, soaking up the sun's warmth and the early sounds of spring.
The afternoon was filled with a huge roast dinner, a good bottle of wine and a soak in the tub.
A Sunday well spent brings a week of content.
