Hannah and I had a quick 24 hours in London this weekend, so we made the most of it and tried to take in as much of it as we could. With the city blooming and the sun shining it was a lovely spring weekend!
We'd been wanting to check out Dalloway Terrace for a while now, and with our hotel being just around the corner in Holborn, it seemed like the perfect opportunity. Definitely make a booking, it's super popular. We arrived right at the end of breakfast/beginning of lunch and it only just quietened down from the breakfast rush as we were on our way out.
Snag yourself a table inside if you can, but if not there's a lovely sunshine terrace outside where you can catch some rays.
We ordered some bits to share from the lunch menu and enjoyed a little brunch of sorts.
After we'd eaten our fill we whiled away an hour in The National Portrait Gallery, looking at famous faces both new and old.
Next up was a little shopping and sightseeing.

I know, I know, Covent Garden is a total tourist trap! But there are some little gems, and we popped into La Goccia (one of my favourite little restaurants) for a late afternoon bellini.

The next morning we headed for breakfast at The Ned, again somewhere I've been before, but wanted to take Hannah to. After we'd eaten enough pastries to feed a small village we thought we'd better walk some it off down by the river.

We headed in the direction of Tower Bridge and enjoyed a Brit of sunshine! (okay, I'll see myself out...)
Before making our way over The Thames and back up to the tube station to head home.
24 hours well spent!
