Sunday Morning in Greenwich
Updated: Sep 28, 2020
This weekend I went to visit my sister in London. It felt so good to get out of the house and on the road somewhere. Han and I hadn't seen each other for a while so catching up in the sunshine was all the more sweet.
I've been dying to get over to Greenwich for a while, so on Sunday we jumped in my car and drove over. Sunday traffic meant we were there in no time at all.
We grabbed iced coffees from Peyton and Byrne and wandered down towards the Thames.
Take me anywhere (even central London!) and I'll scope out a beach or two.
We walked along the beaches, spotting famous landmarks from afar and sat for a while watching the boats, but I was being eaten alive by insects, so we made our way over to the Sunday market in search of one thing...
Which we happily slurped as we walked up the hill towards the observatory (my blood orange sorbet was next level).
Greenwich park has some the most fantastic views over the city, we could see all the way from the London Eye to the Millennium Dome and beyond.
We sat watching the planes fly overhead as the crickets chirped in the dry grass around us.
A Sunday well spent brings a week of content. And what an overdue sunny Sunday catch up it was.
