Last month George and I went to a family wedding at the beautiful Dodford Manor in Northamptonshire. With its stone buildings and sweeping floor to ceiling windows its a pretty special venue.
I left it a little late to get my dress (I was running around Leamington Spa the day before the wedding - cutting it fine), but it all worked out as I picked up this gorgeous two piece in the Coast sale. It's no longer available, but I've picked out some of their current season pieces that I love just as much (here, here and here).
As is always the way with the sale rail, it's never the size you're looking for. The top was a perfect fit but the skirt a few sizes too big. But I didn't let that put me off and persuaded the lovely team at Nice Stitches to rush out a last minute alteration for me.
The bride and groom had arranged a pretty special ride to the venue from the hotel we were staying at nearby, so we all arrived in vintage style.
After the nuptials it was time for the fun to be-'gin'!
I danced the night away with a little extra sparkle, probably the comfiest pair of heels I own!
