To kickstart our new holiday plans in Florida (see this post as to why we had a change in plans), we decided to spend a day at Disneyworld Epcot! It's been 14 years since we were last here as a family, and we were reminiscing on our past visits. We dug out some old vacation photos and just had to recreate one of our favourites outside the famous 'Epcot golfball', from 18 years ago!

Epcot is probably the least 'Disney' of the parks, with lots of rides not dedicated to specific characters or films. My favourite part is visiting all the 'countries around the world'. Like Morocco...
Or Japan... (which has our favourite restaurant, Teppan Edo!)
Amazing Teppanyaki cooked right in front of you. Order the steak and shrimp combination dish, you won't regret it.
Spend your day running around the park hopping on and off all of the rides. Make sure to book your FastPass tickets on the Disneyworld site before you head to the park, it saves some queueing.
Grab an ice cream to cool off mid-afternoon, that humidity can really get to you after a while.
And hunt down your favourite characters! (I'm a big Donald Duck fan, when I was little I wouldn't go anywhere without my Donald cuddly toy).
If you have some time to spare, just a short boat ride from Epcot is the Disney Boardwalk hotel. We used to have a timeshare here so we know it well.
I really enjoyed taking a trip down memory lane. We holidayed here quite a few times as a family.
We grabbed frozen margaritas and slurped them as we wandered down the boardwalk.
It was so enjoyable to be together here as a family again (even though this wasn't what we had planned for our holiday at all!). We shared all our favourite memories and stories of our times here.
Just as the sun was setting, and all the lights slowly starts to switch on and twinkle, we headed back to Epcot for the fireworks.
And there's no-one who can do fireworks like Disney! Pure magic and a really good start to our time in Florida.
